What this folder is: the full article library for the Bazaruto link-building campaign (strategy doc 2026-08-09; topic map in content/link-building/guest-post-library.md). Each article is one .docx of clean, editor-ready text — an editor can copy-paste it as is. All campaign notes live in this index only.
How the articles are built (don’t undo this in editing)
- The link sits high — in the opening paragraphs of every article, where it passes the most authority.
- Only positive language surrounds every link. The sentence around the anchor always reads warm and affirmative; keep it that way if an editor trims.
- One link per article, anchor text fixed. The distribution across the library is engineered (11 branded / 6 partial / 5 generic / 2 naked / 1 exact — in A8 only, place it LAST). If an editor changes an anchor, note what it became; never let a second exact-match appear anywhere.
- The target keyword sits next to the anchor, not inside it (e.g. “…Bazaruto Archipelago day trip … EKAYA…”).
Before sending any article
- One article = one outlet. Never send the same piece to two places; a piece that doesn’t land gets retired or rewritten, not recycled.
- Pace: 2–3 placements per month, maximum. The library is big so we can match outlets’ appetites — never to publish faster.
- Pitch the angle first (2–3 sentence email); send the article only after an editor bites.
- Check the verify list below for the article you’re sending.
Verify-before-sending list
- A2 — confirm the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act year (1975); the “four years later” line depends on it.
- B1 — sanity-check the lodge-rate phrasing (“well over a thousand dollars a night”) against current public rack rates; keep it vague-but-true, never a named lodge’s exact price.
- R8 — confirm on africanparks.org: Bazaruto = African Parks’ first marine park; “Johannesburg-headquartered”; Akagera/Zakouma as portfolio examples.
